After Action Report: SecD-Day 2025

News
Defence SecD Day Partnership TKE

Last week, the TK Engineering team of Timo (CEO), Heikki (CTO), Johnny (CSO), and Joona (Technical Project Manager) visited the Helsinki Expo Center to participate in one of the largest defence exhibitions in Finland in 2025! The SecD-Day event was a great success for TKE in terms of participation, as our stand was filled with interested participants, which resulted in many great discussions and connections.

SecD-Day Athmosphere

During the event, the team met many interesting people from different backgrounds, within industries such as military, manufacturing, and cybersecurity. In discussions concerning our products and services and how they may benefit our customers, many new potential expansion areas and business opportunities were identified. Here, we would like to say a special thank you to our Partner, Electrum Automation AB, who also was present at the event and at our booth. Electrum’s presence at the event set a great benchmark for how we can expand our existing business relations with the great companies we currently work with to create new business opportunities with new customers.

SecD Day Defence Exhibition Partnership

We are very pleased with our participation in the exhibition and appreciate the opportunity to have exhibited together with TKE. The exhibition was well organized and offered rewarding meetings with both industry colleagues and potential customers. It was an excellent platform for making new contacts and presenting our solutions. The co-operation on the stand worked very well and contributed to a strong presence on site.

Bridge Building and Connections

The audience visiting our stand was particularly intrigued by our solutions, which have the possibility to make a significant change in the defence industry. Our innovative automation control and composite armor integrity monitoring solutions piqued the interest of the event participants, fostering many valuable connections for future development in the defence industry. But the exhibition was not only about our stand and products. During the exhibition, many well known members of the Digital Defence Ecosystem (DDE) were present. Since 2024, TKE is a full fledged member of this network of leading Finnish defence and technology companies plus research institutes developing new digital defence solutions to international markets. The SecD-Day exhibition therefore provided a platform for forging meaningful connections and lasting partnerships where the team also visited other booths to see a large scale of other innovative and advanced defence solutions from members within the DDE and others in the defence industry.

Nowhere else within Finnish borders can you see such a wealth of the world’s cutting-edge technology under one roof at the same time.

TKE composite armor integrity monitoring solution

During the exhibition, we showcased our front-runner for defence innovation in our composite armor integrity monitoring solution. Our patent pending solution will be a game changer for the defence domain regarding military vehicle service and onboard monitoring. The composite armor integrity monitoring solution sparked a lot of interest and conversations about possible use cases and application domains during the exhibition.

Future Outlook

Overall, feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. Many appreciated our dedication to advancing defence technology and enhancing operational efficiency. Especially, the enthusiasm surrounding our composite armor integrity monitoring solution highlighted its potential to set new standards within the defence industry. All in all, the SecD-Day 2025 exhibition strengthened our belief that we are a leading control system and system integration solutions provider. We look forward to the opportunities ahead as we continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in defence technology!

A very successful package overall with two very intense days, looking forward to the 2027 exhibition!
