Detailed CAN analysis to provide post-test evaluations
Finnish rally team Vuotari Racing is collecting data CAN analysis to provide post-test evaluations of the car’s performance and detailed driver feedback. Collecting data from a rallycar with TKE CAN tools.
Maximum performance
Vuotari Racing set-up comprises a Kvaser Leaf Pro v2 OBDII, plugged under the dash of TKE employee Maria-Teresa Vuotari Honda Civic Type R. This is connected to a PC running both TKE CANtrace CAN data collection software and Zuragon’s ViCANdo data collection software. Vuotari Racing participate during the rally sprint and can analysis to ensure the car’s maximum performance.
In addition to CAN, the latter records video and audio signals. CAN signals are displayed in trace and graph views and can be exported to various formats. As result, for post-testing analysis and CAN monitoring, CANtrace decodes and plots the CAN messages. Zuragon ViCANdo gives the team access to associated video and audio recording from the test run.
