CAN Switch Programmer

Role: System Integrator
Tech: KiCad, C++, CANopen

Project Impact: Implemented a programmer and tester for factory production of a CAN-enabled device, replacing the old and awkward testbed with an upgraded setup containing custom PCBs for signal routing, an updated and improved test script, as well as a dual-target setup allowing production of two different but similar types of devices using the same testbed.

Uptime Monitor for Portable Power Generator

Role: Software Developer
Tech: NFC, C, NXP LPC board

Project Impact: The end product was a device that can be plugged into any 230V outlet and that records the amount of time during which voltage was available. The data is extracted by placing a smartphone next to the device, which will then automatically upload the data to the cloud. The idea was to eliminate the need for manual inspection and recording of the hour-meter on portable power generators.
